Can it be repaired?

It depends where the damage is. Under the British Standard that governs tyre repairs (BS AU 159), a puncture can only be repaired if it's in the central three-quarters of the tread, smaller than 6mm across, with no damage to the sidewall and no exposed cords. Anything outside that has to be replaced — and we'd rather tell you that up front than pretend otherwise.

If you're stranded

Get the vehicle as far off the road as you safely can, put your hazards on, and if you're on a fast road get yourself behind a barrier rather than staying in the car. Then call us and we'll give you a realistic arrival time.

Driven on it flat?

Tell us. Once a tyre has been driven on while flat the internal structure is usually damaged even if the outside looks fine, and a repair is no longer safe. It's better to know before we arrive so we bring the right thing.
